Friday of the Twenty-third Week in Ordinary Time
Christ, the Light, has emphasized the same lesson in the Gospels we have reflected on this week, namely the importance of a clear eye to see him, who guides us, and others, in all we judge and act and to make progress in the Christian life, we must help others.
He is the one who gives me the vision to be clearsighted about myself and a desire, peppered with joy and humor, not to judge others. To refuse to seek this vision and a fraternal way of acting is to limit Christ being the center of my life.
To pray for a knowledge and increase of these essentials is to make progress in the living the Christian life. It is allowing him, the Light, to guide me along his way and to see those stumbling along with me to give the hand I instinctively need.
Resolve: I shall pray to Our Lady to obtain for me, and those I love, the grace these reflections today have inspired.
