Love

1. We recognize every imperfection in others’ and our acts of love.

2. How are we able to recognize every imperfection in love if we do not have some tacit awareness of what perfect love would be like?

3. The source of our tacit awareness of what perfect love would be like must be perfect love itself, and if perfect love itself is God, then God is present to us as the transcendent horizon of perfect love. Therefore you are transcendent.

Justice and Fairness

1. We also have the capacity to recognize every imperfect manifestation of justice and fairness in the conduct of others, ourselves, in the law, and in society.

2. How can we be aware of every manifestation of imperfect justice orfairness unless we have some tacit awareness of perfect justice or fairness to compare it to?

3. The source of our tacit awareness of perfect justice and fairness must be perfect justice and fairness itself, and if this is God, then God is present to us as the horizon of perfect justice and fairness.

Beauty

1. We recognize every imperfection in beauty in ourselves, others, and nature.

2. How can we recognize every imperfection in beauty unless we have some tacit awareness of perfect beauty to compare it to?

3. The source of our tacit awareness of perfect beauty must be perfect beauty itself, and if this is God, then God is present to us as the horizon of perfect beauty.
