The work of God’s creation continues in each one of us. Metaphorically, and sometimes literally, we are called to build a home in which the creation that we are and the creation that surrounds us can find care, shelter, protection. We do not, nor can we, do this alone. There is so much that is given to us, even the very ground that we walk and build upon.
Under whose home have you found shelter? Whose presence, words, hands have given you protection and care? How have you been a home for others? How can you expand and solidify the home which your life is called to be?
Jesus gives us his word as a solid foundation. May our ears be open and our efforts draw inspiration from it, so that our hearts will be a home for all that we encounter.
